nubia RedMagic Watch specs and design revealed by FCC

nubia introduced the nubia Watch last July, and the company will soon add a new smartwatch to its portfolio called RedMagic Watch as FCC docs just revealed.

The RedMagic Watch’s FCC listing leaves little to the imagination, confirming the wearable’s specs, features, and design.

The RedMagic Watch bearing model code SW2102 has a circular design with two physical buttons on its right side, which reminds us of the Realme Watch S Pro. It features a 1.39″ AMOLED screen of 454×454-pixel resolution and will support automatic brightness adjustment since the smartwatch has an ambient light sensor on board.

Around the back, the RedMagic Watch has charging connectors and a heart rate sensor. Although it doesn’t have an SpO2 sensor, which is becoming commonplace on fitness bands and smartwatches.

The smartwatch is 5ATM water-resistant, but nubia advises against using it in hot showers, hot springs, saunas, underwater diving, water skiing, and other “wading activities and deep water activities facing high-speed currents”.

The user manual on FCC’s site reveals the RedMagic Watch will come with detachable straps, which will be available in leather and silicone options. The ones pictured appear to be made of silicone, so chances are the leather straps will be sold separately.

For connectivity, the RedMagic Watch will have Bluetooth 5.0 BLE onboard, and it will be compatible with Android 4.4 and above. The smartwatch will come with GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS in tow, meaning you don’t have to carry the paired smartphone along for route tracking.

The rest of the RedMagic Watch’s specs include an acceleration sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, and a 420 mAh battery. There’s no word from nubia about the RedMagic Watch yet, but now that it has been FCC certified, it shouldn’t be too long before the smartwatch is made official.
