kabhi ruk gaye kabhi chal diye
kabhi chaltay chaltay bhatak gaye
yuhin umr saari guzaar di
yuhin zindagi ke sitam sahey

kabhi neend mein kabhi hosh mein
too jahan mila thuje dekh kar
nah nazar mili nah zuba heli
yuhin sar jhuka ke guzar gaye

kabhi zulff par kabhi chasham par
kabhi tere hassin wajood par
jo pasand thay meri kitaab mein
woh shair saaray bikhar gaye

mujhe yaad hai kabhi aik they
magar aaj hum hain judda judda
woh judda hue to sanvar gaye
hum judda hue to bikhar gaye

kabhi arsh par kabhi farsh par
kabhi unn ke dar kabhi dar-badar
gham-e-aashiqui tera shukriya
hum kahan kahan se guzar gaye
