Carl Pei’s Nothing will launch its first TWS earbuds this summer
Nearly two weeks ago, Carl Pei formally launched his new audio-related company Nothing. The venture is backed by a list of well-known investors including iPod inventor Tony Fadell, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman and Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin. In a new interview with Bloomberg Carl Pei confirmed Alphabet’s VC capital investment arm Google Ventures (GV) backed $15 million of “Series A” funding into his new company.
More importantly, we get confirmation that Nothing’s first wireless earphones will launch this summer. Pei described his plan to create an ecosystem of devices that can connect to each other. For now, the focus seems to be audio but that might evolve as time goes by. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more developments surrounding Nothing.
